Charleston

I broke a world record.

Not a joke.

A little under a year ago, my sister and her husband moved to Summerville, South Carolina. Their new town just happens to be the birthplace of sweet tea; so they thought that on National Iced Tea Day they should hold the record for the World's Largest Iced (sweet) Tea. And boy did they do it. The whole town, and one northerner (that's me), showed up to help accomplish this feat. And drink 1,425 gallons of sweet tea.

Breaking a world record can be exhausting, so the sis and I hopped over to Charleston for the day for some brother-sister bonding. We walked. Sweated. Listened to country music. Sweated some more. Took some pics. Ate crab. Sweated again. Saw a dolphin. And we sweat.

On a side note: the nice thing about the South is that everyone is sweating just as much, if not more than you. So it's not as gross.

But really, this town is beautiful. Every street takes your breath away. And I'm pretty sure it's a scientific fact that you can't leave Charleston without wanting to add a porch onto your own house. I mean, just see for yourself below (nice segue, right?).
