Hiya! My name is Jonathan, but my friends call my Jmart. I’m 22 years old (that’s 154 in dog-years) and am a human living in San Diego, CA. I say human because I’m a lot of things: I’m a graphic designer, a laugher, a mental health advocate, a documentary-binger, a coffee-drinker, a writer, a taco-eater, a smile-r, a singing-at-the-top-of-my-lungs-in-the-car-er, and a photographer.

I like to think of life as one big adventure and want to experience as much as I can. I grew up just outside Washington DC as a kid that liked designing cars more than playing basketball. My sophomore year of college I dropped out and moved to Phoenix, AZ where I built stuff out of old wood for my cousin’s small business. Then, at the end of last year I moved to New York City to study graphic design and build my portfolio. As a creative, I’m constantly being inspired by new ideas and perspectives and what others are doing—whether it’s discovering Matisse’s cut outs, seeing an architect’s dream house, hearing a friend’s new song, or learning about double exposures and using prisms in photography. Now, I’m in San Diego learning to live my best life while looking for what’s next.
